Responsibilities
Typical duties of the School Psychologist include:

Conducting psychoeducational evaluations and assessments
-
Interpreting assessment data and developing written reports
-
Participating in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
-
Providing direct and consultative psychological services to students
-
Collaborating with teachers, parents, and administrators to support students' academic and social-emotional development
-
Supporting behavior intervention planning and implementation
-
Assisting with crisis intervention and prevention services
Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following local and state requirements to be considered:
-
Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
-
Valid California Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential in School Psychology
-
Ability to pass a criminal background check and fingerprint clearance
-
Strong knowledge of special education law and procedures
-
Previous experience in a school setting is highly preferred
