Minimum 1+ years social worker experience required.
We are hiring an experienced and empathetic School Social Worker to join a school district in Detroit, Michigan. This full-time role is ideal for a licensed professional who is passionate about helping students overcome challenges and reach their potential.
Responsibilities:

Provide mental health services and support for students with behavioral or emotional concerns

Conduct social-emotional assessments and participate in IEP meetings

Collaborate with families, teachers, and outside agencies to support student success

Develop intervention plans to address attendance, behavior, and academic barriers

Maintain accurate and confidential documentation
Requirements:

Masters degree in Social Work (MSW)
-
Michigan School Social Worker license (310 endorsement required)
-
At least one year of experience in a school setting

Strong understanding of IEP process and MTSS
