Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates must meet all Virginia state and local certification requirements, including:

Masters or Specialist degree in School Psychology from an accredited program

Valid VirginiaSchool Psychologist certification or licensure (LSSP - Licensed Specialist in School Psychology)

Completion of supervised internships or clinical experience
-
Background check and fingerprint clearance as required by the VirginiaEducation Agency (TEA)
-
School-based experience preferred, but not required
Typical Responsibilities:
-
Conduct psychological and academic evaluations in compliance with district and state requirements
-
Provide direct counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral support to students
-
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support academic, social, and emotional development
-
Assist with development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
-
Maintain timely and accurate documentation and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
