Typical Job Duties:

Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and case management to students and families.

Address barriers to learning by developing strategies in collaboration with teachers and staff.

Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and community agencies.

Participate in IEP meetings and help develop student support plans.

Promote mental wellness, attendance improvement, and behavioral support.
Requirements:

Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited program

Valid Louisiana LMSW or LCSW license

Previous experience in school settings preferred

Must meet all state and federal qualifications for school-based social workers
