Minimum 1+ years Audiologist experience required.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School-Based Audiologist to join our educational team in the state of South Carolina. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' lives by addressing hearing and communication needs that support their academic success!
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct hearing screenings, evaluations, and diagnostic assessments for students.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to develop and implement individualized strategies for students with hearing impairments.
- Recommend and assist with the selection, fitting, and use of hearing aids and other auditory devices.
- Provide training and support to school staff on effective communication strategies for students with hearing loss.
- Monitor and maintain auditory equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings by offering expert advice on hearing-related accommodations and goals.
Qualifications:
- Doctorate or Masters degree in Audiology from an accredited institution.
- Current Audiology license in the state of South Carolina (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Previous experience working with children in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of assistive listening devices and auditory processing strategies.
