Occupational Therapist Full-Time | Mundelein, IL
Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Occupational Therapists for a full-time role with school districts in the Mundelein, Illinois area. This opportunity is for the 2025-2026 school year, from August 13, 2025, through May 22, 2026.
Position Overview:
The Occupational Therapist will serve a caseload of students in Kindergarten through 2nd grade and will supervise a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
Typical Responsibilities:

Evaluate and treat students with developmental, physical, and cognitive needs
-
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support student success
-
Provide direct therapy services and monitor student progress
-
Supervise and collaborate with the COTA to ensure quality care
-
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting
-
Maintain detailed documentation and ensure compliance with district and state requirements
-
Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student outcomes
Qualifications:
Applicants must meet all local and state requirements, including but not limited to:

Valid Illinois Occupational Therapist license or certification

Credential or certification as required by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation

Experience working with K-2 students in a school setting
-
Knowledge of state and federal education laws and regulations

Strong communication, organizational, and supervisory skills
