Blazer Jobs is currently interviewing experienced School Psychologists for full-time positions with school districts in the Bennington, Vermont area for the upcoming school year. Details:
- Location: Bennington, VT
- Full Time: 37.5 hours per week
- Caseload: Age group and caseload to be determined. The district likes to discuss more details at the time of interview to see the best fit.
Applicants must meet all local and state requirements, including: - Valid Vermont Agency of Education (AOE) Educator License with an endorsement as a School Psychologist (Endorsement Code: 67).
- Completion of a state-approved graduate program in School Psychology (typically Ed.S., MA/CAGS, or Ph.D./Psy.D.).
- Successful completion of a supervised internship in school psychology.
- Completion of fingerprint-supported criminal background check as required by Vermont law.
- Familiarity with IDEA, Section 504, and state special education regulations.
- Previous school-based experience preferred.
Responsibilities: - Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational evaluations
- Develop and present reports for multidisciplinary teams and IEP meetings
- Provide direct and consultative services to students, families, and staff
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to implement academic and behavioral interventions
- Support the development and implementation of IEPs and 504 Plans
- Contribute to Response to Intervention (RTI) and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) processes
- Participate in crisis intervention, counseling, and consultation as needed
