Blazer Jobs is currently interviewing experienced School Psychologists for full-time positions with school districts in the Desoto, Texas area for the upcoming school year. Details:
- Location: Desoto, TX
- Full Time: 37.5 hours per week
- Caseload: Age group and caseload to be determined. The district likes to discuss more details at the time of interview to see the best fit.
Applicants must meet all local and state requirements, including: - Valid Texas licensure as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) issued by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists (TSBEP).
- Completion of a graduate program in School Psychology (minimum Specialist-level or equivalent).
- Successful completion of a supervised internship in school psychology.
- Up-to-date criminal background check and fingerprinting clearance as required by Texas Education Agency (TEA).
- Familiarity with IDEA, Section 504, RTI, and MTSS frameworks.
- Previous experience in school-based settings strongly preferred.
Responsibilities: - Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational evaluations
- Develop and present reports for multidisciplinary teams and IEP meetings
- Provide direct and consultative services to students, families, and staff
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to implement academic and behavioral interventions
- Support the development and implementation of IEPs and 504 Plans
- Contribute to Response to Intervention (RTI) and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) processes
- Participate in crisis intervention, counseling, and consultation as needed
