Qualifications Required:
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (Doctorate or Masters level)
-
Active Connecticut Physical Therapist License issued by the Connecticut Department of Public Health
-
Must hold or be eligible for certification through the State Department of Education (Endorsement 055 preferred if required)
-
Successful completion of a background check and fingerprinting through the Connecticut State Department of Education

Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings is strongly preferred
-
Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:

Perform evaluations to determine students' physical therapy needs using appropriate assessments
-
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with students IEP goals
-
Provide direct therapy services and consultation to students in accordance with IEP requirements
-
Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and prepare necessary reports
-
Collaborate with multidisciplinary IEP teams, teachers, and families to support student outcomes
-
Recommend and support the use of assistive devices and adaptive strategies as needed

Assist with transition planning and modifications to the school environment
