About the Opportunity:
This full-time, onsite role (35 hours/week from August 12, 2025 June 3, 2026) is a fantastic opportunity for an OT who thrives on variety and is comfortable traveling between school sites within the Cottonwood to Corning area. You will be an integral part of a supportive educational team, providing comprehensive occupational therapy services to students across a range of needs. The current caseload is approximately 44 students but is anticipated to grow to 55-60.
Job Duties Include (Full Spectrum of OT Services):
- Conducting comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and assessments to identify students' needs related to fine motor skills, gross motor skills, sensory processing, visual-perceptual skills, and activities of daily living.
- Developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) and treatment plans that address students' specific goals.
- Providing direct occupational therapy services to students in individual and group settings, utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques and adaptive equipment.
- Providing indirect services, including consultation with teachers, parents, and other school staff regarding strategies to support students' participation in academic and functional tasks.
- Collaborating with the educational team to integrate OT goals into the classroom environment and daily routines.
- Monitoring student progress, documenting services, and participating in IEP meetings.
- Educating staff and families on relevant OT interventions and strategies.
Special Requirements:
- Active California Occupational Therapist (OT) license from the California Board of Occupational Therapy (CBOT) is required. You must be willing to obtain licensure in the working state for this and future assignments.
- Comfortable with traveling between multiple school sites within the Cottonwood to Corning area.
- Strong experience providing both direct and indirect occupational therapy services.
