Details:
- Location: Emporia, KS
- Full Time: 37.5 hours per week
- Caseload: Age group and caseload to be determined. The district likes to discuss more details at the time of interview to see the best fit.
Applicants must meet all local and state requirements, including: - Valid School Specialist License in School Psychology issued by the Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE).
- Completion of an accredited graduate program in School Psychology (typically an Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree or higher).
- Completion of a supervised internship in School Psychology as required by KSDE.
- Compliance with Kansas background check and fingerprinting requirements.
- Strong skills in assessment, consultation, collaboration, and communication.
- Previous experience in school-based settings is highly preferred.
Responsibilities: - Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational evaluations
- Develop and present reports for multidisciplinary teams and IEP meetings
- Provide direct and consultative services to students, families, and staff
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to implement academic and behavioral interventions
- Support the development and implementation of IEPs and 504 Plans
- Contribute to Response to Intervention (RTI) and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) processes
- Participate in crisis intervention, counseling, and consultation as needed
