Applicants must meet all local and state requirements, including:

Valid Colorado Occupational Therapist License issued by the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA)

Registration with the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) for school-based practice

Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program (Bachelors or Masters)

Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
-
Completion of required background check and fingerprint clearance per Colorado state guidelines
-
Prior experience in a school setting preferred
Typical Responsibilities:

Evaluate and assess students to determine eligibility for occupational therapy services
-
Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in collaboration with IEP teams
-
Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students in various educational settings
-
Support the development of fine motor, sensory processing, and self-help skills
-
Collaborate with educators, families, and other related service providers
-
Document therapy services and maintain compliance with district and state reporting standards
-
Participate in IEP meetings, progress reviews, and student support planning
