Description:
A progressive and student-centered school district in Seattle, WA is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to join their team for the 20252026 school year. This full-time, school-based position offers the opportunity to support K12 students in developing the functional skills essential for learning, participation, and independence in the school environment.
The OT will play a key role in supporting students sensory, motor, and self-help needs while collaborating closely with educators and families to promote inclusive learning.
Responsibilities:

Deliver direct occupational therapy services to K12 students

Conduct comprehensive evaluations and functional assessments

Develop and monitor Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals

Collaborate with educators, parents, and interdisciplinary teams

Participate in IEP meetings and planning sessions

Document services, student progress, and outcomes in compliance with district and state guidelines
-
Address sensory regulation, fine motor development, self-care skills, and classroom access

Provide consultation to staff on environmental modifications and adaptive strategies
Requirements:
-
Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program

Active Washington State Occupational Therapist License issued by the Washington State Department of Health

ESA (Educational Staff Associate) certification from the Washington Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) preferred or must be eligible to obtain

Prior school-based experience is a plus

Strong knowledge of pediatric OT practices and special education procedures

Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
