Key Responsibilities:

Conduct evaluations and assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders.

Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each students needs.

Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings.
-
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress.
-
Maintain accurate documentation, progress monitoring, and compliance with state and district guidelines.

Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to eligibility and placement decisions.

Educate and support school staff and families on strategies for speech and language development.
Required Qualifications:
Applicants must meet the following local and state requirements:

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.

Current and valid Rhode Island Speech-Language Pathologist license issued by the Rhode Island Department of Health.

RI Department of Education certification required for work in public school settings.

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred.

Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred.

Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
