We are partnering with aschool near Chaska, Minnesotasearching for a contracted, onsite School Social Worker (SSW) for the full school year. We are looking for a hard-working candidate interested in helping students in grades 6th - 8th at a middle school.You will be instrumental in providing essential support to students facing social, emotional, economic, and environmental challenges. By collaborating with students, families, teachers, and other school staff, the School Social Worker will play a critical role in enhancing students' educational performance and overall well-being.
Requirements:
- Must have an active Minnesota School Social Work License
- Must be licensed through the State Board
- Must have Masters Degree in School Social Work
Position Details:
- Current School Year
- Full time / 37.5 hours per week / Monday - Friday
- Caseload: 6th - 8th grade students; specific caseload details will be discussed during the interview process
Responsibilities:
- Assess the social and emotional needs of students and develop intervention strategies to address these needs.
- Provide direct support services through counseling, crisis intervention, and case management.
- Develop and implement professional development sessions for staff on topics related to student well-being and mental health.
