Qualifications:
Applicants must meet all New York State and local requirements, including:

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders

Active New York State license in Speech-Language Pathology
-
NYS Education Department certification as a Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD)
-
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred
-
Fingerprint clearance through the NYS Education Department
-
Experience working in a school setting preferred
Typical Responsibilities Include:

Conducting speech and language assessments and screenings

Developing and implementing IEPs for students with communication needs
-
Providing therapy services in both individual and group settings
-
Collaborating with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress

Maintaining thorough documentation and progress reports
-
Participating in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary planning
