Qualifications:
Applicants must meet all Illinois state and local requirements, including:

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
-
Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist License issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
-
Professional Educator License (PEL) with an endorsement in Speech-Language Pathology from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE)
-
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred
-
Ability to pass background checks and any required district screenings
-
Experience working with students on the autism spectrum strongly preferred
Typical Responsibilities Include:

Conducting evaluations and assessments for students with speech and communication needs

Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
-
Providing direct therapy services tailored to students on the autism spectrum
-
Collaborating with special education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student progress
-
Monitoring and documenting progress toward IEP goals
-
Participating in IEP meetings and contributing to multidisciplinary team planning

Utilizing evidence-based strategies for students with autism and communication challenges
