This role offers the opportunity to support students academic, social, emotional, and behavioral development through comprehensive psychological services in a collaborative educational setting.

Applicants must meet all state and local certification requirements, including:

Valid Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) licensure with an endorsement in School Psychology

Completion of a state-approved school psychology program (Masters or Specialist-level degree required)

Certification as a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) preferred, but not required
-
Prior experience working in a school-based setting preferred
-
Ability to pass district-required background checks and fingerprinting
-
Strong communication, assessment, and collaboration skills
-
Authorization to work in the United States
Key Responsibilities:
-
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations to assess cognitive, academic, behavioral, emotional, and social functioning
-
Interpret assessment data and communicate findings to students, parents, and school staff
-
Collaborate with educators, families, and support teams to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
-
Provide crisis intervention and mental health support as needed
-
Support Response to Intervention (RTI) and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) processes
-
Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility determinations, and 504 Plan development

Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students
