Qualifications Applicants Must Meet the Following:

Hold an active Virginia Speech-Language Pathology license issued by the Virginia Board of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology.

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited program.

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) may also be considered with appropriate supervision.

Must meet all local school district and state background check requirements.

Prior experience in a school-based setting is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments and evaluations for students.

Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with the special education team.

Provide direct therapy services to students in individual or group settings.
-
Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
-
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support students communication needs in the classroom.

Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility reviews, and multidisciplinary team discussions.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines.
