Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced and licensed Speech Language Pathologists for a full-time, school-based position in Lapeer, MI. This contract opportunity is for the 20252026 school year, with services beginning in late July. The caseload will focus on students in Kindergarten through 4th grade.

Responsibilities May Include:

Provide direct speech and language therapy services to elementary-aged students
-
Conduct initial evaluations and re-evaluations
-
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
-
Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings
-
Collect and analyze data to monitor student progress
-
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and therapy logs
-
Collaborate with general and special education staff, parents, and other professionals to support student outcomes
Qualifications:
-
Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
-
Valid Michigan SLP license (or ability to obtain before the start date)
-
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
-
Must meet all local and state regulatory requirements

Experience with special education students and families is highly preferred
