Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPAs) for a full-time position with school districts in the Buena Vista, VA area. This is a fantastic opportunity to support students in developing essential communication skills as part of a collaborative educational team.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Applicants must meet all local and state requirements, including:

Associates or Bachelors degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited program

Valid Virginia SLPA license or registration issued by the Virginia Board of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology
-
Supervision agreement with a licensed Speech Language Pathologist (as required by the state)

Ability to pass required background checks and fingerprinting
-
Prior school-based experience preferred, but not required
Key Responsibilities:

Assist licensed Speech Language Pathologists in implementing treatment plans for students with speech and language disorders

Provide direct therapy services to students under supervision
-
Document student progress and maintain accurate service records
-
Support data collection and progress monitoring for Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
-
Collaborate with educational staff and parents to promote student communication goals

Adhere to ethical guidelines and all applicable federal, state, and district regulations
