Key Responsibilities:
-
Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine students motor and mobility needs
-
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support access to educational programming
-
Provide direct and consultative physical therapy services in various school settings
-
Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support student goals and mobility adaptations
-
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with federal, state, and district guidelines
-
Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on physical development and service recommendations
Qualifications & Requirements:
All applicants must meet Alabama state and local requirements for school-based Physical Therapists, including:

Doctorate or Masters degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution

Current and valid Alabama Physical Therapy License issued by the Alabama Board of Physical Therapy

Compliance with Alabama Department of Education guidelines for school-based service providers
-
Experience working in pediatric or school-based settings is highly preferred
-
Ability to pass background checks and meet all district onboarding requirements
