Your Impact as a School-Based SLP
As a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist, youll play a vital role in helping students overcome communication barriers that affect their academic and social development. Youll assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, and communication disorders, collaborating with educators and families to develop and implement IEPs tailored to each students needs. Whether delivering direct therapy, participating in student evaluations, or coaching teachers on communication strategies, youll be a key contributor to creating an inclusive learning environment that empowers every student to succeed.

A Master's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology

Active Florida SLP License issued by the Florida Department of Health

Florida Department of Education (DOE) Certification may be required for school-based roles

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; CFs may be considered

Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and pass all background and fingerprinting requirements mandated by the school district
