Qualifications & Requirements:
Applicants must meet all state and local requirements to be considered, including:

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

Valid Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) Speech-Language Pathologist License
-
Valid Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) Speech-Language Pathology License
-
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
-
Completion of a Clinical Fellowship (CFY) if applicable
-
Prior school-based or pediatric experience preferred

Ability to pass background checks and meet district onboarding requirements

Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
As a school-based SLP, your typical duties will include:

Conducting comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments
-
Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
-
Providing direct therapy services to students with speech and language disorders
-
Collaborating with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student goals
-
Participating in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
-
Monitoring student progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed
-
Maintaining documentation and reports in compliance with state and district policies
