This is a rewarding role for professionals passionate about supporting student communication, language development, and academic success. Contract renewals for the next school year are performance-based.
Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct evaluations to assess speech, language, and communication disorders

Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in coordination with the IEP team
-
Deliver direct therapy services tailored to student goals
-
Monitor progress and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
-
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student success
-
Participate in IEP meetings, consultations, and staff development sessions
Qualifications & Requirements:
All applicants must meet Texas state and local certification requirements for school-based Speech Language Pathologists, including:

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university

Active Texas Speech-Language Pathology License issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR)

Valid Texas Education Agency (TEA) certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist or willingness to obtain (depending on district requirements)

Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) will be considered

Ability to pass required background checks and meet district onboarding procedures
