Your Impact as a School-Based SLP
As a school-based SLP, youll assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, voice, fluency, and communication disorders. Youll work with students across various grade levels, provide direct therapy services, collaborate on IEP teams, and support students in developing essential communication skills. To qualify for this role in Texas, candidates must have:

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences & Disorders

Active Texas SLP license issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR)

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred

School-based or pediatric experience (preferred but not required)
