Job Description:
As a school-based Occupational Therapist, you will work with students to support the development of fine motor skills, sensory regulation, self-care routines, and access to the educational environment. You will evaluate student needs, develop individualized treatment plans, collaborate on IEP teams, and consult with teachers and families to support student success in school. Your work will be instrumental in helping students become more independent and engaged learners.
Virginia Requirements:
Candidates must hold an active Occupational Therapist license issued by the Virginia Board of Medicine. A degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program is required, along with the successful completion of the NBCOT exam. Experience in a school-based setting is strongly preferred, and applicants must meet all background and fingerprint clearance requirements as set by the school district and state.
