Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech Language Pathologists for a full-time, school-based contract position in Dearborn Heights, Michigan. This role is for the upcoming school year and focuses on providing services to students in kindergarten through 3rd grade at the elementary level.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver in-person speech and language therapy to K3 students
-
Conduct assessments, screenings, and re-evaluations in compliance with district and state standards
-
Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
-
Write and update IEPs, including present levels of performance, annual goals, and objectives
-
Track and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed
-
Collaborate with educators and families to support generalization of speech and language goals across environments
-
Provide support and strategies for classroom teachers working with students with communication disorders
-
Ensure compliance with all special education regulations and documentation standards
Qualifications:
-
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
-
Active SLP license in the state of Michigan (or eligibility to obtain)
-
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred

Prior school-based experience strongly preferred
-
Familiarity with IEP development, early intervention strategies, and elementary-age learners

Must meet all state and local requirements for school-based practice
