Blazer Jobs is currently seeking a qualified Speech Language Pathologist for a full-time, school-based contract position in Atchison, Kansas. This opportunity is for the new school year and will involve working with a diverse caseload of students ranging from kindergarten through age 21. Candidates must be comfortable providing services to older students and young adults with a variety of communication needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students across a wide age range
-
Conduct evaluations, re-evaluations, and screenings to determine eligibility for services
-
Develop and implement IEPs, including goals tailored to both academic and functional communication needs
-
Participate in IEP meetings, providing professional input and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams
-
Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals
-
Adjust therapy approaches to meet the unique needs of students from early childhood through transition-aged young adults
-
Support functional communication skills for students preparing for post-secondary life
-
Collaborate with educators, staff, and families to promote consistency across learning environments
Qualifications:
-
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
-
Valid Kansas SLP license (or ability to obtain)

ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred

Previous school-based experience strongly preferred

Must meet all state and district requirements for school-based SLPs

Comfortable working with students up to age 21, including those with complex needs
