Requirements:
Applicants must meet all New Jersey state and local requirements for Speech Language Pathologists, including:

Valid New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing (CEAS) or Educational Services Certificate (ESC) in Speech Language Specialist

Masters degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
-
Eligibility for or possession of New Jersey Speech-Language Pathology License issued by the New Jersey Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology

Completion of the required Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if applicable
-
Compliance with all state and federal background checks and fingerprinting requirements

Familiarity with IDEA, IEP development, and school-based therapy best practices

Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
Typical Responsibilities:

Conduct speech and language evaluations to identify student needs

Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP goals

Provide direct speech-language therapy services in individual or group settings

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student communication development

Monitor and document student progress regularly

Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional recommendations

Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations
