Job Description:
As a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist, youll provide essential communication support services to students across grade levels. Youll assess speech and language needs, implement targeted therapy plans, collaborate with educators and families, and contribute to the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Your expertise will help students improve their expressive and receptive language skills, social communication, articulation, and fluency, allowing them to thrive academically and socially.
Louisiana State Requirements:
Applicants must hold a Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. A current license from the Louisiana Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (LBESPA) is required. Additionally, candidates must be eligible for (or hold) Louisiana Department of Education certification for school-based work. A background check and fingerprint clearance may also be required by the hiring school district.
