Job Description:
As a School Psychologist, you will play a critical role in supporting students' academic, emotional, and behavioral success. Your responsibilities will include conducting psychological assessments, interpreting evaluation results, participating in the development of IEPs, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and implementing evidence-based strategies to promote student well-being. You will also work closely with educators and families to create supportive learning environments and provide crisis intervention as needed.
Louisiana State Requirements:
Applicants must hold a Masters or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology or a related field. A current license or certification from the Louisiana State Department of Education or the Louisiana State Board of Examiners of Psychologists, as applicable, is required. Previous experience in school settings is preferred. Candidates must meet district-specific requirements, which may include fingerprinting and background checks.
