Job Duties:
As a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for:

Conducting comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify speech and language disorders.

Developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) to address student communication needs.

Providing direct and indirect speech-language therapy services to students in various settings.

Collaborating effectively with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to support student success and facilitate communication within the school environment.

Monitoring student progress, maintaining accurate documentation, and participating in IEP meetings.

Utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques and strategies to promote communication development.
Requirements:

Active New York State Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) License is required.

Previous school-based experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Compensation:
The average hourly rate for a contract licensed school-based professional in Binghamton, NY, is $45-$65 based on experience.
