Key Responsibilities:

Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnoses for students

Provide direct therapeutic services and crisis interventions

Collaborate with school counselors, psychologists, educators, and families

Participate in IEP and 504 meetings and provide input on behavioral and mental health strategies

Develop individualized treatment plans and track student progress

Consult with staff on classroom accommodations and mental health interventions

Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with school, state, and federal regulations
Requirements:

Active North Carolina license to practice as a Psychiatrist

Must meet all local and state requirements for school-based service

Experience working in educational or pediatric settings preferred

Familiarity with special education laws, IEP processes, and behavioral planning highly preferred
