What Youll Be Doing
As a bilingual school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Elgin, you will play a critical role in supporting both English- and Spanish-speaking students with speech and language needs. Youll conduct bilingual assessments, deliver therapy services, and collaborate with educational teams and families to create culturally and linguistically responsive IEPs. Your work will help ensure that all students, regardless of language background, receive the support they need to succeed.
Qualifications and Licensure
To be considered for this position, candidates must:

Hold or be eligible for an Illinois Speech-Language Pathology license.

Possess a Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.

Be fluent in both English and Spanish.

Hold or be eligible for a Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Speech-Language Pathologist endorsement in Illinois.

Have strong cultural competence and experience working with multilingual learners.

CCC-SLP is preferred, though Clinical Fellows (CFs) may be considered depending on district support.
