School Social Worker Full-Time | Round Lake, IL | 20252026 School Year

A fantastic school district located in Round Lake, IL is seeking a full-time School Social Worker to join the team. In this role, you will provide essential support and services to students, helping to foster academic achievement and personal growth. You will collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure each student receives the appropriate care and instruction.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct support and services to students based on individual needs and IEP goals
Collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff to support student development
Assist in implementing behavior intervention plans and social-emotional supports
Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation
Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing insight into student social-emotional and behavioral needs
Maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
Provide crisis intervention and connect families with community-based resources as needed

Qualifications:

Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Worker endorsement
Masters degree in Social Work from a program approved by the Illinois State Board of Education
Previous experience in school settings or with school-aged populations preferred
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Knowledge of trauma-informed practices, behavior management strategies, and social-emotional learning frameworks
