Blazer Jobs is seeking a certified School Social Worker for a full-time, school-based role in Round Lake, IL. This position is ideal for a compassionate professional dedicated to supporting the social, emotional, and academic well-being of students.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct support and counseling services in non-academic areas tailored to individual student needs

Collaborate with educators, parents, and related service providers to address behavioral, emotional, and social challenges

Communicate regularly with families and school staff to coordinate services and implement intervention strategies
-
Conduct social-emotional and behavioral assessments using formal and informal tools
-
Prepare for and actively participate in IEP, 504, and multidisciplinary team meetings to support student programming and services
Requirements:

Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Worker endorsement

Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program

Previous experience in a school setting preferred

Knowledge of behavioral intervention strategies and special education processes

Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
