Blazer Jobs is seeking a certified School Social Worker for a full-time, school-based role in Kansas City, KS. This position is ideal for a compassionate educator dedicated to supporting the emotional, behavioral, and academic needs of students.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct support and counseling services in non-academic areas tailored to individual student needs
-
Collaborate with school staff to develop and implement social-emotional goals and interventions aligned with IEP or 504 plans
-
Regularly communicate with parents, teachers, and outside service providers to support student progress and family needs
-
Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify barriers to learning and implement appropriate supports
-
Prepare for and actively participate in IEP, MTSS, and student support team meetings
Requirements:

Valid Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE) School Specialist License with a School Social Worker endorsement

Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution

Experience working in school settings preferred

Strong understanding of trauma-informed practices, behavioral intervention, and case management
-
Ability to work collaboratively and maintain accurate documentation
