Applicant Requirements:
Candidates must meet all local and state licensure and certification requirements to be considered for this role. Specifically, applicants should possess:

A valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Psychologist endorsement, or equivalent licensure in Illinois.

A Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.

Eligibility for or possession of the Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) credential is preferred.

Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments, developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and providing counseling services.

Strong knowledge of federal and state laws related to special education and student rights (IDEA, Section 504, ADA).

Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, educators, and administrators.
Typical Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments to determine students academic, emotional, and behavioral needs.

Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective intervention plans and IEPs.

Provide direct counseling and crisis intervention services to students.

Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary.

Assist in the identification and placement of students in special education programs.

Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with district, state, and federal regulations.
