Candidates must meet all local and state requirements to be considered for this role. Specifically, applicants should have:

A valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Psychologist endorsement.

A Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution.

Eligibility for or possession of the Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) credential is preferred.

Demonstrated experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Knowledge of federal and state laws regarding special education and student rights, including IDEA, Section 504, and ADA.

Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams.
Typical Responsibilities:

Perform comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments to identify students academic, emotional, and behavioral needs.

Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to design and implement appropriate intervention strategies and IEPs.

Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and support services to students.

Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary.

Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines related to special education.

Maintain accurate records and participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities.
