Requirements:

Active California Physical Therapist license

Must meet all local and state requirements for school-based PTs

Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting strongly preferred

Familiarity with IEP processes and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams

Strong communication skills and cultural responsiveness when working with diverse families
Typical Job Duties:

Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students motor skills and physical therapy needs

Develop and implement individualized therapy goals aligned with students IEPs
-
Provide direct and consultative physical therapy services to eligible students
-
Document progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with school and state guidelines
-
Collaborate with teachers, special educators, school staff, and families to support student access and participation
-
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to team-based planning
