Position: School Social Worker
Location: Grand Blanc, MI (60 minute drive from Lansing, MI)
Schedule: Full-Time | 35 hours/week
Contract Dates: Approx. August 29, 2025 June 12, 2026
Hourly Rate: $40+/hour (based on experience)
Setting: Onsite preferred
About the Role:
Were seeking passionate and experienced Masters Level School Social Workers to join a dynamic team supporting students across elementary, middle, and high school levels. This role focuses on providing intervention support to special education students through small or moderate group sessions and 1:1 interactions.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver direct and consultative support services to special education students

Collaborate with educators, parents, and IEP teams to develop student-focused strategies

Conduct small group and individual sessions to support behavioral, emotional, and social growth

Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with state and district standards
Caseload:
K12, with potential placement based on current openings (K6, Middle, or 712th grade).
Requirements:

Masters Degree in Social Work

Full Approval or Certificate through the Michigan Department of Education (MDE)

OR a SSW 310 letter from your university and started the MDE application process

Active MI State Social Worker license through LARA

Previous school-based or special education experience strongly preferred
