Blazer Jobs is actively seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) for a full-time, school-based contract role at a high school in Houston, TX. This position offers a manageable caseload focused primarily on re-evaluations for speech-only services, with students typically receiving 35 therapy sessions per 9-week grading period.

Position Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Hold a valid Texas SLP license

Have an active Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
-
Meet all state and local educational requirements for school-based SLPs
-
Prior experience with special education students and families is highly preferred
Typical Responsibilities Include:

Conduct speech-language re-evaluations to determine continued eligibility and update service plans
-
Provide individualized therapy services, typically 35 sessions per student per 9 weeks, based on IEP goals
-
Collaborate with teachers, case managers, and special education staff to support students academic and social communication needs
-
Write and update IEP goals, progress reports, and evaluation documentation
-
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multi-disciplinary team discussions
-
Support students with articulation, language, voice, fluency, and pragmatic language needs
-
Ensure compliance with documentation, service delivery timelines, and reporting standards
-
Help prepare students for post-secondary communication success, whether academic, vocational, or community-based
