Requirements:

Must meet all local and state licensure requirements for Speech Language Pathologists in South Carolina

Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) through ASHA preferred

Active South Carolina SLP license or eligibility to obtain prior to start

Prior experience with special education students and families highly preferred
Typical Responsibilities:
-
Provide direct speech and language therapy to students with communication and language disorders
-
Conduct evaluations, screenings, and progress assessments as required
-
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with student goals
-
Maintain detailed documentation and data tracking for compliance and progress monitoring
-
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student communication needs
-
Provide consultative services and strategies to help integrate therapy goals within the classroom
-
Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team discussions, and ongoing professional development
