Requirements:

Must meet all local and state licensure requirements for Speech Language Pathologists in South Carolina

Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) through ASHA preferred

Active South Carolina SLP license or eligibility to obtain prior to start

Prior experience with special education students and families highly preferred
Typical Responsibilities:
-
Provide direct speech and language therapy to students with communication, articulation, and fluency disorders

Conduct evaluations, screenings, and progress assessments as required by the district
-
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) based on student needs and goals
-
Maintain detailed records, progress notes, and data tracking to ensure compliance and accurate reporting
-
Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other multidisciplinary staff to support student communication development
-
Offer classroom strategies and consultation to general and special education staff
-
Participate in IEP meetings, team conferences, and professional learning opportunities
