Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Job Duties

Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, and communication disorders

Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) based on student needs

Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student progress

Provide therapy sessions and document student outcomes

Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations as part of the educational team

Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal regulations
Federal and State Requirements

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

Current North Carolina SLP license required
-
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred

Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and FERPA regulations

Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Fingerprinting and background clearance as required by North Carolina school districts
