Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Job Duties

Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy to students with speech, language, and communication disorders

Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs

Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote student success

Conduct therapy sessions and document student progress regularly

Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional recommendations

Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal special education requirements
Federal and State Requirements

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

Current California SLP license required
-
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred

Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and FERPA regulations

Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Fingerprinting and background clearance as required by California school districts
