Occupational Therapist (OT) Job Duties

Evaluate and provide therapy services to students with fine motor, sensory, and functional challenges

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEPs based on student needs

Collaborate with teachers, families, and other service providers to support student success

Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed

Participate in IEP meetings and provide professional recommendations

Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal special education requirements
Federal and State Requirements

Masters or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program

Current Texas OT license required
-
Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and FERPA regulations

Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Fingerprinting and background clearance as required by Texas school districts
