Role Overview:
The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to deliver therapy services, assist with evaluations, and implement individualized treatment plans that promote students independence and participation.
Typical Responsibilities:

Provide direct occupational therapy interventions to students

Assist in implementing treatment goals and activities

Document progress and maintain accurate records

Collaborate with the Occupational Therapist, teachers, and families

Support the development of fine motor, sensory, and adaptive skills
Requirements:
Applicants must meet all New Mexico state requirements for Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants, including:

Active New Mexico COTA License

Associates degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

NBCOT certification

Knowledge of IDEA and IEP process
