Physical Therapist (PT) Job Duties

Provide assessment, therapy, and intervention services to students with physical disabilities or mobility challenges

Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to improve motor skills and functional independence

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success

Monitor and document student progress while adjusting interventions as needed

Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development and implementation

Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
Federal and State Requirements

Masters or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program

Current Kansas PT license required

Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and FERPA regulations

Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills

Fingerprinting and background check as required by Kansas school districts
